Client Engagement Manager

Reports to: Director of Sales

Summary of Position
We are hiring talented salespeople for an inside sales position. This individual will be a key player on our sales team with a desire to provide a service that is proven to change lives. We are looking for ambitious individuals that will drive new customer engagement and assist with the continued growth of the organization using our platform and materials which provide access to mental health treatment.  The ideal candidate will have five years or more sales experience, preferably with experience selling to educational institutions.  This is a performance-based position with measurable goals and outcomes.

Full-Stack Developer

Summary of Position:
This is a lead developer position. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment, working on multiple, high-stakes projects concurrently. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of code as lead developer of development team
  • Full stack (backend & frontend) development
  • Write and maintain unit test cases
  • Maintain the technical documentation
  • Works with key stakeholders to determine product requirements and dependencies, and share those with other team members
  • Participate in testing, validation, and documentation procedures 

Education/Certification:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Requirements:

  • Strong skills in Python, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON and other relevant technologies
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular JS, Backbone.js, Ember.js, etc.)
  • Experience with Node.JS and other popular modules (e.g., Express, Locomotive, Sails, Mongoose, etc.) would be a plus
  • Must have experience designing and building REST APIs, preferably REST + JSON
  • Must have strong understanding and working knowledge of addressing cross-platform and cross-browser development issues

Job Description:
Research in machine intelligence has already impacted many areas of business, education, and health, yet applying machine learning to mental health is in its infancy. TAO Connect, Inc. is a start-up company building machine learning based, online tools for mental health treatment. Our suite of tools is licensed as software as a service to mental health professionals to increase access, engagement, and effectiveness of online treatment. TAO has financial support from investors and grants from the National Science Foundation to build machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing tools. Our company has a great team of psychologists, researchers, programmers, animators, instructional designers and client engagement and support staff who work in a warm, collaborative environment. We also have university research collaborators in psychology, biomedical engineering, and computer science to round out our team. Our ideas come from our internal team, our university collaborators, and our customers. We create experiments and design and test prototypes, implement developed tools, and gather feedback from our users. You will work on challenges in data mining, machine learning and natural language understanding, you will stay connected to your research roots and the research community, publishing papers, preparing grants and reports, and presenting at conferences.

Duties:

  • Designing and running experiments to advance our machine learning capabilities
  • Implement machine learning algorithms and ensemble methods
  • Maintaining and enhancing our existing machine learning tool and operational software suites
  • Collaborating with a team of software developers, mental health professionals, and researchers in the field of mental health
  • Evaluate and ensure quality of data collected through the TAO tools

Ideal Qualities:

  • Graduate level degree in a quantitative field - CS, EE, Statistics, Mathematics
  • Strong background and experience in software development
  • Experience with machine learning, NLP, modeling, prediction
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong programming skills
  • Strong ability to analyze data, create reproducible results and figures and communicate findings with non-statisticians/non-engineers
  • Experience with Tin Can API (xAPI) and Moodle platform (SQL)

UI/UX Developer

The UI/UX developer will be have an instrumental role in the design and delivery of everything from our marketing website to the next version of our online platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sketches, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, html email templates
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders of product team, sales, and marketing teams
  • Define the UI/UX from end to end
  • Provide final design and specifications to developers
  • Usability testing and manage testing sessions
  • Participate in the daily scrum and sprint planning
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends in modern UI/UX design techniques and tools

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; a strong online portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design skills is required

Requirements:

Skills:
